Should you kill your television?

Does tv have a positive or negative impact? I know, you can give me the nuanced answer: "Well, Dr. Schmoll, one might actually consider that television has had both a positive and negative impact on our society." Blah blah, be bold, take a side!

  1. Yes! We should kill all televisions because they are huge distractions in our life. We lose so much of our selves, and we try to imitate everything we see.

  4. Why focus on killing televisions, we should focus on killing other things that are truly influences us in a negative. I would not kill my television.

  5. It really does depend on the individual, i wouldn't unless it was interfering with me staying focused and on task. There is some positive aspects a television may contain and display.

  6. I believe that it's not necessary to go to that extreme unless one is growing completely attached to their television

  7. Television has more of a negative impact on society today. It makes people lazy and people ignore their everyday duties/chores. People become so obsessed with television they end up telling their friends they cannot go anywhere on a certain night because "their show" is on. They start to lose themselves.

So yes we should kill our television. It would be for the best.

  8. Should I kill my TV? What kind of question is that... Of course not, I payed for it right. Even though people say it has a negaive impact on youth and how it pollutes our mind, does that really mean we should commit an electronic homicide? Nope!!! Because television actually has educational points to it too, not just spongebob and mtv. Everybody can say school house rock helped them learn their verbs, pronouns, and conjuctions!

    Therefore leave TELEVISION alone.

  9. I believe T.V has a negative impact. Media is in a way telling you what to do or what to believe. We shouldn't believe everything they say. We should question things. Although that is up to each individual I believe some of us rely to much on getting inform through TV while we should look at other resources that could possibly be more reliable.

  11. I think television does impact our lives in a negative way. Everything we see and hear on TV, we do the exact same thing. It only brings more violence. It can also affect our brain by just staring and watching into a moving screen when our brain should be learning better things.

  13. Neh TV is not the enemy, its the people behind it and who's in front of these people, yup these green colored papers. If you guys are worrying about the health of your brain or your learning abilities then go do something productive, like pass a proposition to end all television broadcasting....*mwuahhahahahhahah* (eviiil laugh)
yeah i'm going to turn on my t.v

  14. I say we should kill our television. All we see are these starlets who we try to imitate, and end up loosing ourselves trying to be someone we're not. I will admit that I watch t.v. but I don't try to copy what I see.
