Did you know that the CSUB theatre is haunted? Did you know that students once chased each other around this campus with weapons? Did you know that those animals on the walls of the old Science Building are actually...no, I can't bring myself to tell you.
What are your scary Halloween stories? The only rule is that they must be set at CSUB.

ReplyDeleteSo i heard the science building is haunted! While they were constructing this buliding a guys had an accident and died! So now they are saying for everyone to stay out of the science room because of the death. I was walking around the science building and i heard noises and according to a proffesor i spoke to said the man always creeps people out during halloween. The proffessors are never there during that time! So stay out i am serious. True story from a self experience. Dont wonder alone you will have mental promblems
ReplyDeleteThere were once a group of three girls who lived in the dorms at CSUB. They really hated the food at the commons. They decided that one was going to die in front of the register, another on in the girls restroom and the third on in the middle of the whole commons. They committed suicide at the same time at 12:00 AM on OCTOBER 31st. Go into the commons at this time and see whats up....
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time there was this student that lived on campus in the Dobry building was killed in room 201. It was on Hallows Eve, and she had just came from the Science I building. It was night time and she was all alone. She arrived to her room to notice a man with an ax was standing in the middle her room. The man killed her, and I'm here to warn you about the dangerous dorms on campus.....So be safe and run when you see a man with an ax!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIn the spirit of the great Mohave and Paiutes Indian Tribes,I know bring you this tale of utter horror. You know that scene where the deer and lion are having a fight ( right behind the library), turns out there is a historical context to it. Get this a long time ago before Bakersfield was even established the Mohave and Paiute Indians made this territory their land. They harvested the great lands and made it habitable. Until Spanish settlers caught up with them and ran them out of this land. They were to live on a thin piece of land with few acres, and also had to learn other trades to get by with the new rule. So they were reserved on what is now CSUB. Now these Indians were mad real mad, though they still kept their values in mind. They decided to call Mother Nature to their aid, they made a treatie with her saying that this land was now to be sacred this land will feed off of the human mind and human virtues. and in return mother nature gave them the honor of good weather for their crops and their hunt. They were grateful, however one of their own was loosing his mind, thinking thoughts of murder and dishonor. His virtues left him homeless, he didn't belong to the tribe anymore. He was full of resent and wanted revenge on those spanish settlers. So he chose to make a deal with the devil, calling upon Lucifer the dark lord was something the Mohave Indians only heard of in stories. But now it was coming true. the deal was that in return for his soul, he wanted to make the spanish settlers life hell, making sure he died a slow death of malaria and small pox. Time passed and slowly but surely spanish settlers were dying off. Yoki ( that was his name) was pleased! he had also forgotten about his deal with the devil. Until one day the heavens closed up with dark heavy clouds and the mighty thunder clapped with the sound of a thousand beasts roaring. a dark mass appeared before yoki all he could feel was cold and bitterness. He had lived a meaningless life and now he was going to hell.
ReplyDeleteHis family knew what Yoki had done, they consulted with the elders and the elders gave but one piece of advice. They said we must keep our promise with mother earth, she will be mad if we leave and leave her land fruitless, maybe if we ask her for advice we can still save yoki's soul.
So the family called upon Mother Earth saying "mother Mother, our son has lost his way and now we are afraid his soul will forever belong to the pits of hell. Please advice us on how to save him"
Mother Earth pondered on what they could do to save the soul of Yoki. So one day she called upon the family of Yoki and said. Honor the cycle of life and present me with a gift representing this.
The family thought about how they could do this, so they presented her with a drawing depicting a lion hunting a gazelle. She was pleased and added to her conditions that whomever lives on her protected land, must honor the cycle of life.Thus the scene of the deer and the lion.
Keeping up with the conditions of mother earth is crucial for if we don't this will open up the window for Lucifer and he will take those that are not virtuous. He is ready to take those that have lost their way. He is ready to take your soul. So when you are walking past that scene remember the cycle of life and Yoki's soul who is yet to be released from the dark caves of hell.

ReplyDeleteA while back when the CSUB campus first opened, there was a new student walking around the campus on October 31. the final building on his list to see was the Dorthy Donahoe hall. It was getting late and all of his friends had left but he was persistent to see the DDH building. As he entered he saw three strange characters with masks just standing around. He called out to them, "hey, are you guys new stud...." before he could finish one of the strange assailants pulled out a gun and shot him in the arm. Blood splattered on the walls. He screamed in agony. The second masked person ran from the DDH building. The third masked fiend revealed a baseball bat and began hitting the innocent student...landing a blow to the head, thus killing him. The rest of the killers ran away never being seen again. When the crime scene clean up crew arrived they were shocked to see that the scattered blood was not washing off. That is why the campus officials allow many posters on the walls of the DDH, to hide the tragic event in the past.
ReplyDeleteNever knowing why the masked assailants attacked him. Till this day on Halloween he haunts the halls of the DDH at night searching for answers.
There is an urban legend in the library. We have many urban legends in fact, but there's one in particular. The story is set on second floor which an old woman died in the. There's a small room that takes you onto another room, and it takes you to the next floor. The story goes a man, or a boy fell off the the stares, and died once hitting their head on the floor, and if you were at the second floor , and you were to cross to second level, then the "ghost" of the man, or boy appear next to you once you pass the exact spot he had fallen from until you exit the stairs. My friends and I have tested this urban legend many times, and we have yet to see anything. We don't even know if anyone really died there, but true or false, it's an interesting, and eerie story, and visual.
ReplyDeleteThe worst seat on campus is next to the pond by the library. Its an unlucky scare of a chair. While sitting down you will hear the whispers of a girl talking about all kinds of school things like finals and studying. The reason for this is because years ago a girl killed herself there after realizing all of the stress that she had at school. She thought being by the pond would make things change but she didn't want to change her mind. So when your sitting by the pond and hear a whisper; don't think about the stress of school.
ReplyDeleteIn our CSUB library there once was a librarian that was really particluar of the books in "her library" she would make sure everything was exactly where it belonged and would scold at students if that was'nt the case. Students got fed up with her strict rules and decided to take matters into their own hands and killed the poor librarian, in the fourth floor of the library. If you listen carefully when you are in the fourth floor you can hear faint whispers of her saying "shhhhhh and that book doesnt belong there missy!"
ReplyDeletethere once was this girl who was looking for a mystery book in the library. she looked high and low but could not find it. she even asked the librarian for help. she also could not find the mystery book. she got so fustrated that she went to the roof of the library and jumped off. every now and then that girsl ghost honts those who have trouble finding books in the library.
ReplyDeleteThere once was a girl who was picked on for the way she ate. She loved to eat and since she loved to eat so much people always had the chance to pick on her. One day after being picked on she ran into the bathroom in the commons and locked herself in. There she died. She has a strong hate for students who now dine in the commons. So if your ever in the commons and have to use the restroom you better be careful not to go to the one in the commons because Patty the pig would eat anyone who trespassed.
ReplyDeleteWhen I had walked into the bathroom to wash my hands in the DDH building, I heard whispers in the stalls but there was nobody in there. The voices got louder and louder then suddenly it stopped. The waters turned on and the soap dispensers were pouring out of control. I was in shock and I couldn't move. The room got all steamy and a voice whispered in my ear. The ghost saidto get out or else he will haunt my dreams forever. I took his advice and got out quick! I never turned back!I was gone!
ReplyDeleteSo I was sitting in the level below the libary studying in the 24 study room. I was the only one in there when i noticed the started to flicker a bit which i thought was odd but figured they just needed to fix it. I continue to study and it was real hot so i had my sweater off. and suddenly i got a cold chill. which freaked me out more. i decided i needed a break so i walked outside and got some air by the door. I walk back in and my things are scattered everywhere. I look around to see if anyone is there but i see no one. So i begin to pick up my things and start to study again. This time i heard voices it freaked me out so bad i havent went back.
ReplyDeleteWalking toward my car, after a late class, i started to hear voices. at first I just figured it was the wind. But then the voices turned into laughter, then a loud scream. Not just any scream. it was a cry of terror. I started walking to my car as fast as I could. I was almost to the point of running. Then i felt something pull on my shirt. I took off. I ran so fast to my car i almost forgot were i parked. I had just gotten in my car and started up the engine when i saw a shadow pass the back of my window, then a figure was standing in front of my car. I was out of that parking lot faster than you can read this sentence.
ReplyDeleteI found the scariest place on campus. One night, after coming from the libray I sat at a table near the pond,to study a little bit more. Then I began to realize the spot I chose to sit a was very creepy. I didnt think anything of it and began studying.Then all of a sudden i started to hear a low scratchy voice, and the wind began to pick up. So, i thought to myself i should get out of here. As soon as i got up a large figure arose from the pond covered in vines and green goo. I took off as fast as i could and i have not been back sense.
ReplyDeleteLate at night walking down the hall in one of the dorm buildings, there was a stench. I would expect this because it was an all guys floor. But for some reason this day was different. The smell was extremely overwhelming. The hall was also very hazy like the early morning fog. While approaching the corner the smell and haze got even thicker. By this time I was curious as to what was causing this. Finally getting to the corner, a ghost appeared. I Screamed at the top of my lungs, ran down the hall, and out the exit. I will never return to that building, nor go down the hall for as long as I am at this school.
ReplyDeleteSo...i walked into the music building one day and i started to hear something. i thought it was just me so i ignored it. but as i kept walking i started to hear music and i was sure of it this time it wasnt just me. no one was in there except for me so i started to freak out. i turned around and a shadowy figured flew by me! i ran out of there as fast as i could!!! watch out when u go into the music building..you might just hear random music playing...

ReplyDeleteThere was once a young girl named Sally that used to live in the dorms. She was very quiet and timid. Sally never spoke to anyone. She hated noise. The dorms were never silent, people were always laughing and having loud music, and this bothered her very much. Being fed up with all of this, she decided to take matters into her own hands. She went in every room in her floor and destroyed all electronic music material without anyones consent. She fled through the back door damaging over 50,000 dollars worth of people's belongings. She was then found dead in front of the music building. Who killed her? No one knows. Now all you hear at night is the the back door squeak very loud without nobody exiting it.
ReplyDeleteHave you ever been to the pool at night? Well if you havent then you wouldn't know that it is haunted. 20 years ago a women snuck into the pool at night on a dare. She was sitting there dipping her feet in the pool when she fell in. She got stuck under the pool covers. They found her the next day drowned. If you are there at night and hear the loud schreech of the gate opening but look and nobody is there. It is the girl waiting for revenger on the people who dared her.
ReplyDeleteThere is a legend of an RA who once hung himself in rohan because he was unable to deal with the stress of his job. While everyone was out partying having a good time on Halloween night he hung himself in his dorm. The very next day some students who wanted to speak to him knocked on his door but the door was open so they went in. There, he was hanging from the ceiling and some words on the wall that said “you will pay” with blood. However, he had no cuts. Recently, while everyone was off at the Halloween party on campus I stayed in my dorm to rest instead. I heard a laugh and a really hard slam of a door. I knew no one was in the floor. Legend??? Or is it????

ReplyDeleteOn Friday on Oct. 13th 2006 three friends had heard of the first haunting and decided they were going to make their Friday the 13th interesting and spend the night in the door theater.One of the girl’s dads was the custodian so she was able to get the key from him and made a copy before he noticed it was gone.
The three friends met up that night and snuck in. At first they were scared because after all... there were no lights. After an hour of sitting waiting for something to happen they grew restless. Mano (the only boy out of the three)pulled out a weegie board. The other two were horrified! They told him to put it away and told stories of experiences they heard of that went wrong, but Mano was persistent. He told them obviously it wasn't haunted and that they were just doing it for fun.
After a lot of convincing the two girls reluctantly agreed to use it. Mano set it up and to their surprise it started to move. The weegie board then spelt out . . . w-e-l-c-o-m-e -t-o -t-h-e -s-h-o-w.... The three friends thought this interesting and begun asking question. Unfortunately Mano thought it his job to stir things up. He told the ghost of an ex drama student that he probably died because of his lack of talent. That’s where it went downhill.
The lights flickered and a voice yelled “GET OUT!!!”, Mano laughed, and the girls ran for the door. It was too late the ghost was pissed now.
The doors locked shut and big furry claws grabbed the legs of all three friends. Mano was now scared and tried to apologize but the ghost was past apologies. He left scratches down their legs and possessed one of the girls as she turned with an evil glare and smile Mano knew it was trouble. Her eyes rolled back and when she opened her mouth a terrible screech came out. She began to jolt back and forth; her body hit the ceiling and then fell into the theater seat with a thud. She had stopped moving. When Mano went to go check on her a forced grabbed him and forced him in the seat next to her. Terrified, the last girl tried to find an open door pleading to god and the ghost to get her out, the ghost had no mercy he threw her body into the third chair and as the last flicker of light stopped the three friends disappeared leaving only their belongings.
The ghost laughter was the last thing they heard as he banned them to an eternity of living in the in between life only to appear to reek havoc every Friday the 13th.
When the campus was still being worked on, everybody was doing their part to make sure that this project would come out perfect. But, nobody ever mentioned anything about the construction worker who died while building a part of the music building in a tragic accident. He was one of those people that kept to himself, so nobody ever even noticed that he went missing. One day there was a music major student in one of the practice rooms working on her recital peice. She wasn't bothering anybody, just minding her own business when the practice room light went out. She was never a really superstitious person until after what happened that day. She started to hear the piano playing her song, but she wasnt't anywhere near it. It was too dark for her to see anything so she asked who's there? No reply came. Just playing. She thought maybe she was dreaming so she pinched herself, and tried to wake herself up. She was not dreaming. The piano suddenly stopped playing and she heard the faintest of whisper from the corner of the room that moved closer to her with every word saying " Am I not important? Why did nobody care?" She ran out of the room screaming, and never came back to the music building ever again. She never told a soul about what happened that day, but he is still there. Wandering around aimlessly in the music building. So next time you go into the music building be careful to remember that nothing is ever perfect.
ReplyDeleteonce there was a little kid that lived in the entwood dorms. one day he mysterlsly disappered and no one knew where he went. 5 years later some people reported that there was a little kid running around the dorms and he did not belong there. but they did not see him again. one night the kid was seen in a girls dorm room saying mommy mommy. the girl screamed and ran and got the ra but he was gone before they came back. the next night he was seen in another dorm room asking if they wanted to play some games. that person try catching him but the kid ran through the wall and got away. so if you are ever in entwood be aware of the little kid that can show up in your room.
ReplyDeleteThis boy would spend every night near the water stream out by the dorms just watching it pour. Just sitting writing and bleeding his mind in to verse but little did he know he was next up to be controlled by this curse. Its Halloween but to him just another average night of watching the water. Enjoying him with out a bother of another. The water shakes a bit more violently then usual yet he thinks nothing of it. Little did he think he would never be sane again? This beautiful woman with wet hair walks over and just sits casually next to him and says hey there my names Kandy. They get acquainted and there’s a bit of a silence for awhile. She breaks it with her voice of thousand celestial instruments all perfectly orchestrated. They start to talk. They converse deep into the night. The young man says he must go. The girl insist he stays a bit longer. Willingly and happily he submits to her request. They get read to leave and she says to him for them to meet again the next night. The next day in class she is all he can think about. He looks for her all over campus but does not see her. So night fall came he sits and waits. He falls asleep. He wakes to the sight of her looking over him with a smile. She kisses him on the cheek and says he is the cutest thing ever. He sits up with he face lost in a blush. So this night goes the same. They just lay with each other and talk deep thoughts. he departs to his dorm. In class thinking only of this girl. His grades take the blow, they suffer greatly. Anxesly he waits for night fall. Hes listing to his ipod waiting with out warning the girl is there in his arm. He was freaked out for a minute of how she got there but he blew it off after a minute. The girl invites him to a dorm filled with a feeling of love. Things get heavy and they lay. They fall asleep. He has the best sleep of his life. He wakes and she is gone. He thinks she probably has class. So he goes on with his day thinking of her. At night he waits near the water. She does not show up so he goes to his dorm. Next night he does the same. He falls asleep there morning light hits him. He wakes nothing again. He does this for weeks. One night he is just simply staring deep into the water. Staring deep for somewhere he belongs. Nothingness. Well he again the next night. He sees her face in the water as his heart hurts. His soul is scared to the point of reaping. Every night he stares in to the water he losses a little more of him self and his sanity. He continues this for months. For years. Nothing he will never know beauty again. Now he is an adult and married. But every time he looks deep in to water he sees her. Now 29, he goes back that Halloween for an event on the campus after wards he walks to the lttle water stream by the dorms. He stares with emptiness in his soul at the water. The moon bright and full this night. A boy walks up to him and asks what he is doing. He looks at the young boy and the and he says looking for his life, his breath, his soul. Then the light of the moon shines right through him and he is gone. He never was since that night he layed with the girl.
