the implications of this experiment is the same as taking a homeless person and training him to be a high class millionare. And by that people will see him differently as the monkeys sees the low class monkey who had the skill to get apples.
Zafiro and I believe that what this message is implicating is that monkeys are capable of being trained to do almost anything. They are highly intelligent and may be useful to humans.
Its important because it shows how monkeys are smart. If they continue with jar opening it will become common and they would come up with more things for the monkeys to do.
Monkeys are highly intelligent creatures, they have the closest DNA to humans. I think that like monkeys humans often go by emotions instead of reasoning.
Monkeys have been tested on for so long maybe this is the start of a break through with using monkeys for different task and research...as a matter of fact i think im going to get me one...like michael jackson...and we are going to shoot space chimps 2
I believe that this experiment shows animals and people are very similar in the way rank each other in society. The monkeys had a monopoly when one monkey had a skill that the rest didn't so she was raised in rank. We do the same with money. Once there were two monkeys sharing the same skill the first one lost some of her rank and the two monkeys shared the power. The same happens with us in society when dealing with the economy. This story suggest that skills are much revired when they are first introduced to the world. Then they start to get replicated and demand and value start to deplete.
This means that monkeys also have types of social classes within their own groups sort of like us humans but not as advanced. Monkeys can learn skills and advance in rank like humans. also if many people have the same skills they aren't as valuable just like the two monkeys with the same skill both became equal but as a lower rank.

ReplyDeletePeople know that when they are equal to each other than there is nothing unique. So we're constantly striving to out do each other for recognition.

This means that the value of the ability goes down when more then one person/monkey is able to do it.
